WHY CHANGE YOUR ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM TO RIFD?
access control RFID are a great way to improve your parking lot's security. In some environments, the parking lot is a key part of a brand's image, and long wait times and congestion can give patrons a wrong first impression. It is, therefore, essential to secure this space. This is where RFID technology can make all the difference.
RFID access are pretty easy to install and configure. Since they use digital data, they are also much easier to update. Sometimes, you'll have to call in a technician to install updates, but with a cloud-based system, you can make changes yourself, and the changes will take effect instantly.
There are two main kinds of RFID systems. High-frequency (HF) and low-frequency (LF). HF is the fastest and can read from several inches away, while low-frequency (LF) systems have a more extended range and a lower read rate. While both technologies offer advantages, one of the main drawbacks of a low-frequency system is the potential for interference.
An RFID-access control systems integrates with a central security system to control access to restricted areas. The system is programmed to track the number of unauthorized access attempts made by a specific ID and can trigger security cameras when a threshold is reached. The system can also send alerts to security personnel if there is a threat of unauthorized access. Video surveillance is still essential for monitoring activities inside a restricted area, but using RFID can give you a much better view of who is and isn't permitted access.
